HyperEngine-AV Überblick
HyperEngine-AV (früher Montage) ist ein wahrer Multimedia-Editor, der es Ihnen ermöglicht, nahtlos Videos, Fotos, Sounds und Texte zu kombinieren, um schnell und einfach Diashows, Familienfilme, Geschäftspräsentationen oder Ihre eigenen Spielfilme in voller DV-Qualität zu erstellen.
Medienclips können per Drag & Drop verschoben, importiert oder in Echtzeit von einer FireWire DV-Kamera erfasst werden, und dann frei im Arbeitsbereich angeordnet werden, um Filme zu erstellen. Echtzeit, bearbeitbare Übergänge werden automatisch erstellt, wenn Videoclips übereinander gezogen werden, und über ein Dutzend Videoeffekte stehen zur Verfügung und können auf jeden Videoclip angewendet werden.
Audioclips können bearbeitet, angeordnet, gestapelt und verarbeitet werden, um beeindruckende Soundtracks zu erzeugen. Es gibt keine Spurbegrenzung, denn . . . es gibt keine Spuren! Hi! I get the error message:
"You can't open the application HyperEngine-AV because PowerPC applications are no longer supported."
on my Macbook White 2008. Why is this? And how do I fix it?

Today I downloaded HyperEngine-AV 1.6.1 for Mac from the MacUpdate site but I can't open any files in in it. I can not open music or video files from my computer into HyperEngine-AV. I don't know if I am doing something wrong or if it is the software. I have more than enough space and memory on my Mac Pro. Can anyone give me a clue as to what to do? Thanks

While you can't fault the product for sheer usefulness and the price tag (now free) unfortunately there seems to be a problem with "Export Video.." functionality.
Every time I try the application quits with no warning or any error message.
I'm using Tiger, updated to the hilt, Quicktime Pro 7 registered and have 512 RAM (256 recommended), twice as much available disk space as recommended and a G4 chip.
Shame.. ..but then there always seems to be something which goes wrong with anything that's free on the Mac.

I've been following this since v1, and have been interested in the concept/design behind the app. In my case, I've been looking for an application to do slide shows set to music...but I need complete control over transitions and placement of the stills. This goes back to the "old days" when I created multiprojector slide shows choreographed to music soundtracks. iMovie is great for video, but still handling is poor. FCP has a MAJOR issue in that if you move audio you have to rerender the track...idiotic. Avid XPress doesn't have that issue, but you need a dongle and Avid as a company has "issues".
HyperEngine is pretty damn good for this. If you could add a beats/measures timeline I would be in heaven. But the realtime transition rendering is great, and it is trivial to shrink/extend the time a still spends on screen.
This is a great alternative to traditional movie editing software, and is infinitely easier to use relative to Flash.
